We are looking for a first- or second-year Apprentice Chef to join our team.


Wild Hop Brewing Company is a 150 seat brew-pub, located in the Yallingup hills area. We offer a “family style” share menu of wood fired protein dishes paired with seasonal vegetable dishes and salads. We trade 7 days, with day shifts only (no nights). Our kitchen works at a fast pace and work schedules will include weekends. 


While experience in a commercial kitchen is a bonus, enthusiasm and good attitude is the key in this role.


We offer above-award rates; a supportive team environment; and additional perks. As we are centrally located in the south-west, you have the option to attend Tafe in either Margaret River, or Bunbury.


 Your main duties include but not limited to: 

  • Assisting the chef in the preparation and cooking of meals 

  • Training to learn procedures and duties in food preparation 

  • Working under the supervision of the chef 

  • Operating commercial cooking equipment such as mixers, steamers, fryers, ovens and stoves 

  • Serves food when required 

  • Kitchen cleaning, such as dish washing and equipment cleaning, sanitation 

  • Assists in other areas of food preparation and storage 



Skills and abilities required…

  • A willingness to learn and be an active player in a small team

  • Be inspired by fresh, seasonal produce and being involved with a kitchen garden

  • An interest in brewing

  • An interest in wood fired cookery

  • Punctual, organised and trustworthy

  • Professional appearance

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Have a calm demeanor and a sense of humour!
